When We Don't See Satan's Accusations

August 9, 2023

Summary

In today’s episode, Jon and Justin talk about the accusations of Satan that often go undetected. We are conditioned to think that the evil one’s accusations look a certain way, but he is subtle and deceitful. Just by virtue of the fact that we live in the world (which is influenced by Satan), there are ways we think that cause us to question our legitimacy at every turn.

Hi, this is Justin.

00:00:06

Today on Theocast, John and I are going to have a conversation about the fact that we don't often see the accusations of the evil one.

00:00:14

We're conditioned to think that his accusations look a particular way, that they're fiery darts, that maybe they are hurled at us by legalistic preachers or by scriptures being quoted out of context, or even by the well-meaning pietistic friend,

00:00:27

we have.

00:00:27

But in reality, just by virtue of the fact that we live in this world and we think like other human beings think, and that Satan is operative in this world, we have absorbed a lot of things that affect

00:00:37

how we think about our relationship with God.

00:00:39

We question whether we can really go to our Heavenly Father sometimes.

00:00:42

We even question our own union with Christ because we are so afraid that we've not done enough, that we're not legitimate enough, that maybe there isn't mercy for us.

00:00:51

So, we're going to talk about all these things today.

00:00:52

We hope this is eye-opening for you.

00:00:54

And at the end of it all, we hope that you're comforted in Christ and that we all learn to trust the Lord and take Him at His Word that He has, in fact, saved us.
