When Christians Hurt Each Other

October 1, 2025

Summary

Justin and Jon love this phrase: All of Christ for all of life. That is what this podcast is about today. The doctrine of Christ is important, and we need to get it right—but it is also for our daily lives. This is where it becomes a balm and a joy. It allows us not only to have rest but also to give rest. So we want to talk about what all of Christ looks like in areas such as relational conflict. How do we apply the wonders of Jesus for us, and how do we use something like the third use of the law to proclaim the light of the Kingdom while resisting the darkness? We live in a dark world, so considering all of Christ in conflict is a really important conversation. It was helpful for us, and we hope it will be encouraging for you as well.

Topics

  • All of Christ for all of life in relational conflict

Justin and I love this phrase, all of Christ for all of life.

00:00:03

And that's what this podcast is about today.

00:00:06

The doctrine of Christ, it's important and we need to get it right, but it's in our life.

00:00:10

This is where it becomes a balm and a joy, and it really allows us to not only have rest, but give rest.

00:00:17

And so, we want to talk about what does all of Christ look like in things like conflict, relational conflict?

00:00:23

How do we use the wonders of Jesus for us and something like the third use of the law to help proclaim the wonder of the kingdom of light and fighting back against the kingdom of darkness.

00:00:34

We live in a dark world.

00:00:36

So, all of Christ in conflict, this is a really important conversation.

00:00:39

It was helpful for us.

00:00:40

Hopefully, it'd be encouraging for you as well.

00:00:42

Hey guys, this is Justin.

00:00:45

Maybe you know that you are forgiven because of Jesus Christ, but you're wondering, what does Jesus have to do with my Christian life?

00:00:54

How is he involved in my sanctification, even?

00:00:58

Or is he concerned at all with the ways that I struggle and the way that my life goes up and down?

00:01:03

Is there any comfort for me in Jesus, when it comes to all of that?

00:01:06

Well, I've written a book called More Than Forgiven: How Being in Christ Changes Everything, that deals with this topic from Romans chapter 6.
