What is the gospel? Sadly, the answer many church-going people would give has a lot to do with us. This has left some self-righteous and proud. This has left many anxious and fearful. The gospel, however, is the message about what Jesus alone has secured for sinners: the forgiveness of sins, imputed righteousness, and an eternal inheritance.

Hi, this is Justin.
Today on Theocast, John and I are going to seek to answer a simple question: What is the gospel?
If you are out there and you're listening to this episode, and you are discouraged, you're confused, you're disheartened, you're afraid that you might not finally make it, and that you might be one of those individuals that on the
last day Jesus looks at you and says, Depart from me, I never knew you.
If you were to think, if somebody asked me what is the gospel, and you don't know how to answer that question without saying something about yourself, this episode is for you.
We hope it encourages your soul.
We hope that you're comforted in the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is mighty and able to save.
He's done everything.
That's what we're going to talk about today.
