Summary

In today’s episode, Jon and Justin consider how our own righteousness only leads to death. In Romans 5:12-21, Paul makes it clear that we have all been counted with Adam’s guilt--and that the only hope we have is that we would be counted with Christ’s righteousness. By faith, Jesus becomes our representative. This is great news! We have gained more in Jesus than we lost in Adam. This is the message of the entire Bible.

[00:00:06]Well, we love to proclaim it to each other, but it's really dangerous if you try and take that before God.

[00:00:13]Today and I, Justin, and I, are going to try and convince you from scripture to pull your self-righteousness out of your hands, throw it into the fire, and run desperately to Jesus.

[00:00:23]And by faith, trust that his righteousness is sufficient for you.

[00:00:27]Justin does an amazing job explaining Romans chapter 5 to us in the imputation, or if you don't, where we receive Christ's righteousness by faith.
