[00:00:06]Today on Theocast, we're going to be talking about the chosen.

[00:00:09]That's right.

[00:00:10]You've seen the title, Stop Watching The Chosen.

[00:00:13]And you're probably thinking, oh my gosh, here we go.

[00:00:15]This is just like another Facebook rant coming my direction.

[00:00:18]I hope that's not true.

[00:00:19]What John and I aim to do today is have a conversation not so much about the chosen specifically, but really what we're aiming to get at is the underlying problems, the systemic problem of which the chosen is just

[00:00:32]a manifestation.

[00:00:33]There are things going on with us in terms of the things that we seek and desire and crave when it comes to our spiritual experience.

[00:00:39]There are also things, perhaps, that many of us are missing in our Christian lives that we're trying to find in other places, like watching a show such as The Chosen.

[00:00:49]So, John and I are going to think about all of these things.

[00:00:51]We're going to talk about the second commandment and whether or not it's legitimate to depict the Lord Jesus at all, and whether it's okay to take artistic liberty in projecting the life and the personality of our Lord and

[00:01:04]Savior.
