[00:00:01]When we think about the doctrine of assurance, we don't necessarily always think about it being spiritual warfare, but it is at its core.
[00:00:10]You believing that you are good with God is the most important part of your life.
[00:00:16]And Satan wants to keep you on your heels, constantly questioning: Am I dangling over the pits of hell?
[00:00:22]Is God about to let me go?
[00:00:25]Or maybe not so much your salvation, but God's disposition towards you.
[00:00:31]And what we do is we often focus in on our sincerity or our obedience.
[00:00:37]And this episode, it's to really show you and have a discussion about how this is spiritual warfare and this is a spiritual issue and you cannot use fleshly means in order to fight it.
[00:00:49]It's an important concern about re-enchanting our Bibles and re-enchanting our faith when it comes to our standing before God.
[00:00:58]Before we jump into it, as we do every week, let's take a moment and let's look to Christ and encourage our hearts to trust Him more.
[00:01:06]Assurance is not just comfort, it is contested ground.
[00:01:10]There are real enemies who want your faith weak and your conscience unstable.
[00:01:15]Evil spirits do not need you to abandon Christianity.
[00:01:19]They only need you to doubt whether Christ truly holds you.
[00:01:24]If they can keep you questioning your standing before God, they can keep you exhausted, inward, and afraid.
[00:01:32]And Satan is called the accuser for a reason.
[00:01:36]His work is not creative, it's repetitive.
[00:01:39]He drags forgiven sins back into your mind.
[00:01:43]He whispers that this failure proves you were never really saved.
[00:01:48]He tells you that God is patient with others, but weary of you.
[00:01:53]And the moment you try to fight that voice with your own obedience, you have already lost.
