Processing Evil in Light of Charlie Kirk

Summary
This conversation was recorded before the official announcement of Charlie’s death. Our hearts and our prayers are with his family. May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort them now and always. There is so much evil and pain in this world, and in this life. It all just feels too much to bear. We don't just face the evils of men; day by day, we are confronted with truly wicked and demonic powers that look to steal our hope.

Uh, welcome to Theocast.
This is a different episode.
We're not even going to do our normal introductions.
Um, if you're new to Theocast, this is uh Justin Perdue, who's a pastor in Asheville, North Carolina, Covenant Baptist Church.
I'm John Moffat, I'm a pastor in Springhill, Tennessee, Grace Reform Church.
And we're together because we're doing some work for the board and things like that.
But we, in between some recording of episodes, looked at our phone and recently saw some updates about not only Charlie Kirk, but some stabbings.
And we're going to be careful what kind of language we use so we don't get censored here, but we don't have this, it is not scripted, Justin.
We just wanted to sit down and I think what the one thing I want to say before I turn it over to whatever we're going to talk about, our intentions for this is to help people process this themselves
as a Christian.
How do you communicate this kind of things to your family as a church, to your congregation?
If you're a pastor, we want to love and care for you.

This is unfortunately not, this isn't, this is becoming a more common thing that's happening.
I don't know how else to say that.
I mean, we've seen a shooting last year when we're talking about our own president.
So, yeah, so this conversation is: how do you process this from a Christian perspective?
