This "Look to Christ" is featured in our episode: Why Do I Still Struggle with Sin? (w/ Luke Kjolhaug)
If you’ve walked with Jesus for a while, you know the tension.
You love Him… but you still sin.
You want to obey… but you still fall short.
One moment you feel close to God,
the next, you wonder how He could still love someone like you.
That’s the saint and sinner reality.
Luther called it simul justus et peccator,
at the same time righteous and a sinner.
It’s not a glitch in the Christian life.
It is the Christian life.
In yourself, you’re still weak, still broken, still fighting sin.
But in Christ, you are already righteous.
Already loved.
Already accepted.
Both are true.
And the gospel holds them together.
When you fail, don’t look inward for reassurance.
Look outward, to Jesus.
He’s your standing before God.
Not your performance.
Not your progress.
Christ alone.
This truth keeps you from despair when you fall…
and from pride when you grow.
So today, when you feel the war inside,
between who you are and who you long to be,
remember this:
your identity isn’t found in the struggle.
It’s found in your Savior.
Look to Christ.
He’s the One who justifies the ungodly, sanctifies the weary,
and one day, will glorify the broken.
