[00:00:06]We have a conversation about some of the downfalls of the biblical counseling movement, in particular its tendencies toward quietism and hyperintrospection.

[00:00:15]And then we consider how counseling can be done well from a confessional and Christ-centered perspective.

[00:00:20]We consider how things like counseling centers can be used well for outreach so that people can hear the gospel and also can be used to funnel people to the local church, which is the real place where counseling and

[00:00:32]ongoing soul care occurs.

[00:00:34]And then in the members' podcast, we talk a little bit about our particular areas and our visions for these kinds of things, even stuff that's already going on in the cities where we're located.

[00:00:43]And then we talk some about sanctification in the church and how a perspective that emphasizes and obsesses on sanctification actually hinders our ongoing Christian life and our growth in the faith.
