[00:00:00]Hi, this is Justin.

[00:00:01]And today on Theocast, we are talking about the little L laws of New Year season.

[00:00:07]This is the time of year when we all make resolutions.

[00:00:10]We feel all kinds of pressure.

[00:00:12]There are a thousand different things that we need to be doing or abstaining from.

[00:00:17]And if we're honest, most of us fail in the things that we resolve to do.

[00:00:21]And it doesn't even take that long before we don't even live up to our own expectations for ourselves in the new year.

[00:00:27]What do we do with all of this and what do we make of it from a reformed perspective?

[00:00:31]We talk about that in the regular episode.

[00:00:33]And then the members' episode, we talk about two kingdom theology and how that comes to bear on this conversation.

[00:00:40]And we also talk about the importance of maintaining proper distinctions between Bible and common sense.

[00:00:46]We hope the conversations are helpful to you.

[00:00:48]Stay tuned.

[00:00:59]Welcome to Theocast, Encouraging Weary Pilgrims to Rest in Christ.

[00:01:07]Our hosts today are John Moffat, pastor of Grace Reformed Church in Spring Hill, Tennessee, Jimmy Bueller, pastor of Christ Community Church in Wilmer, Minnesota, and myself, Justin Perdue, pastor of Covenant Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina.

[00:01:21]Brethren, we have met to podcast yet again in the year 2020.

[00:01:25]Here we are in the early weeks of this new year.

[00:01:28]How are things going for the two of you?

[00:01:30]John, I guess maybe I'm slightly more interested in what's going on with you than Jimmy because you have the cultural update today.
