“Where Are You, God?”

Exhausted? Beat up? Suffering? Where are you, God? Why is this happening? Why can’t I hear you? Why can’t I feel your presence? For those who have these feelings and are exhausted, just needing a glimmer of hope, Justin and Jon have something for you today. We want to point you to Christ and His gospel.

Anxiety and the Gospel

For those of us who are feeling anxious, depressed, dark, and discouraged, this is a conversation for you. How do we take what we feel and put it in the light of the gospel and the objective reality outside of ourselves? How do our feelings tend to adjust and change towards the truth of the gospel? We pray you find this conversation encouraging!

Don’t Quit Yet!

Jon picks up where he left off last week, “Feel like quitting?” He walks the listener through the hope of the Gospel and how it fuels our lives in the Kingdom. Life is not about what we can see and feel but what is true and in our future. How does the Kingdom bring us true joy and hope?

Hope in the Midst of Hell

Life under the sun is often brutally hard. We live in a world where we bury our children. Only an insane person would look around and say that everything is as it should be. So, what hope do we have? The hope is not for anything in this life or in this world. The hope is in the life–and the world–to come. Jon and Justin have a very personal and pastoral conversation about hope in the midst of heartbreak and pain. Jesus has promised us that he has gone to prepare a place for us and that he will bring us to be with him where he is. We take him at his word.

Finding Hope in Depression

I do not write this to give you tips on how to stop being depressed. I remember in my own struggle searching for answers and coming up empty. Rather, what I’d like to offer instead are two truths that I hope anchor you in the midst of your own “dark night of the soul.”
