Jimmy was born and raised in Toledo, OH and attended a small church of loving believers. In bible college, Jimmy was blessed to sit under God-centered teaching and preaching. It was during his time in a Calvinistic college ministry that the gospel became the focus and full-time ministry became a deep desire. 

Jimmy has served in various ways in various churches since 2011. During this time, the ups and downs of ministry served to push him into deeper Reformed thinking and study. After a long battle with depression and crippling doubt, a friend of Jimmy sent him a podcast episode called “Leaving Pietism.” That episode forever shifted his theological trajectory. This introduction into Reformed confessionalism has lead him to partner with Jon Moffitt in church planting efforts in his current town of Willmar, MN. 

Jimmy is married to his wife, Kelsey, and together they have three children: Charlie, Owen, and Nora. The Buehlers currently reside in Willmar, MN and love the small, rural town which they serve. When they are not working with their photography business or with their church plant, the Buehlers like to eat smoked meats and enjoy evenings on their front porch. Jimmy also likes to enjoy his favorite sports team: Liverpool F.C. (Go Reds). Jimmy desires to help others see the rest found in Christ alone. Jimmy firmly believes that God used Reformed theology to save his life, and he is eager to point others to the glorious Jesus this historic theology portrays!
