Where Is God In COVID19?

It is fair to say that all humans struggle with the problem of evil. If God is sovereign, why doesn’t he remove all the evil in this world? Why did he allow it in the first place? Can God truly be good if he has the power to stop evil but doesn’t? The harder you try to answer these questions, the more confused you will become. For thousands of years, humanity has wrestled with these questions.

Comforts from the Cross (Transcript)

MEMBERS: Comforts from the Cross (Transcript)

Today on Theocast, Jon and I talk about the fact that sometimes as Christians we think that we have understood the gospel, foolishly thinking we have reached the bottom and that there’s not a lot left for us to understand. Then God comes in, graciously and lovingly, and explodes our hearts and minds with the wonder, truth, mercy, and grace of the gospel.

We talk today about comforts from the Cross; the fact that when Jesus died and said that it is finished, that he had accomplished redemption and that his glory, righteousness, merits, and life were counted to wretched sinners like us. We talk about that and its implications in the church.

In the members podcast, we consider self-righteousness and how bad it is in the church, and how if we understand the gospel rightly then it should promote love and unity because we understand that we all have the same righteousness – namely the righteousness of Christ. We hope that this conversation is encouraging to you.

What If I Don’t Feel Saved?

In this episode, Jon and Justin answer the question, “What do I do if I don’t feel saved?” This is a struggle for so many of us. God tells us in his Word that we’re his children, but we often feel like his enemy. What do we do with that?

Child, He Loves You…

My prayer for you today is that through all of your doubt, fatigue, pain, and struggle you would lift your eyes to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. God’s love for you is not dependent upon your performance. God set His love on you while you were a sinner. God […]
